Frances most important national holiday, Bastille Day, is July 14 10 days after our own Fourth of July. It commemorates the storming of the Bastille in Paris, which started the French Revolution, and its celebrated all over France with parades, fireworks, concerts, communal meals and other festivities. On this side of the pond, were not likely to have a parade for the French. But a French meal isnt a bad idea. In fact, its a very good one!
